Broadway Under the Stars

Broadcast on CBS, this live concert was taped in New York’s beautiful Bryant Park and Central Park, with audiences of 15,000 and over 50,000 respectively. This star-studded show featured some of Broadway’s favorite performers singing favorite Broadway songs.

Hosted by CBS-TV’s Dana Tyler, the show has featured stars including Tony Award winners Brian Stokes Mitchell, Michael Cerveris, Dan Fogler, Sutton Foster, and Anika Noni Rose; the Disney Channel’s Christy Carlson Romano, star of stage and television Tom Wopat, Alias’ Victor Garber, Sex & the City’s Mario Cantone, current stars of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Raul Esparza and Marc Kudisch, the Radio City Rockettes, and many others. An orchestra of some of New York’s finest musicians led by Maestro Phil Reno accompanied the singers in this kick-off to New York’s summer concert season.
